    A good dry cleaners.

Air it out for a week or so outside. I found a cute shirt from a thrift store but it smelled badly of cigarettes. I hung it outside for a week (it rained on it too) and the smell was completely gone. Its still gone too!!!! But considering its a leather bag just make sure it doesnt get rained on. I have also done this with a shirt I got onlnie whivh had a bad smell from the persons house on it.

get a lemon and cut it in half and let it sit in your purse and rub it all around if it stinks on the outside or try using a moth ball or fabric sheet

You really might want to hold off on rubbing lemon juice on leather – the acid could affect the color, and stiffen the leather.
Same problem with bleach – ???? on leather??? anyway,

Can you flip the bag inside out? do that if possible, and hang it outside as suggested above, letting it air. If the smell is in fabric lining, you could spray an oxy based air freshener on it, but lightly. Fine leather is sensitive, and if you can’t be sure that the damp fabric won’t lay against the skin, then just let it air. Out of direct sunlight.

Find somewhere outside, away from the sun, where you can let your purse air out for a few days. Don’t put it in direct sunlight or it will turn brittle. If it’s suede, don’t let it get wet.

There are saddle soaps available for cleaning smooth leather. If you leather is smooth, that is now suede, then a leather soap might take the smell away. This is found at shoe repair shops and can be used on any finished smooth leather. There’s special abrasive blocks available for cleaning suede, again a trip to the shoe repair shop will help you find something. The Tandy Leather website had some leather and suede cleaning things a while ago; I haven’t bought from them in long time but the stuff might still be there. A shoe repair shop might be able to clean your purse for you.

Don’t use bleach on leather! Don’t immerse your purse in water! Test febreeze on a hidden spot to see if it doesn’t damage the leather. If you do use a dry cleaner, be sure it’s one that specializes in leather and/or suede.

I would suggest taking the bag either to a drycleaner or a shoe cobbler. If those options are not feasible for you, then I would just air out the bag outside for a couple of days and put in a sheet of bounce inside the bag.
