I have a 1994 2.5 175 hp mercury outboard motor on a 18-ft ranger bass boat. When I start it in the mourning it smokes real bad for a while, why does it do that? thanks

How many cigarettes does it take for like a dentist to know you have been smoking, for example?

I have been smoking for about 10 years and my dentist still doesn’t know I smoke. I do however use Crest white strips about every 6 months. I also brush regularly with whitening toothpast and floss daily.
I am sure if you don’t take the right precautions maybe about 3-4 months?
I do want to add in that I am a light smoker, and smoke outside with my “smoking coat” on, before I change and brush for the day. I doubt my dentist has ever smelled it on me since I do not smoke before dental appts. My understanding was that this questions was not to judge, but to simply ask a question.

Hey, a lot of my friends smoke and i want to smoke with them, but i get lung x-rays every 4 months and i don’t want my doctor to find out! How many cigarettes will it take for my doctor to notice?

My 1989 Chevy 350 smokes when i start it but only when its hot outside.I think its the rings or dirty injectors. I know its not the head gasket cause it dosent get hot and theres no oil in the water.I need another opinion.

Blue smoke at start up is almost always leaking valve seals. Where oil leaks past the seals and into the cylinders. Coolant leaks into the combustion chambers would not smoke til the engine is at operating temp….i’m leaning toward bad worn valve seals

I replaced the battery and the starter. Same thing happens. Starter clicks then smokes.

If that car went into high waters is very possible it sucked water into the air intake.which will cause the engine to “hydro-lock”. Meaning that the cylinders are full of water and since liquids can not be compress the engine will not turn. To fix this remove all spark plugs and crank engine,this will remove that water,then install the same plugs (dry of course) and try to start vehicle.Also is possible that one or more connecting rods migth be bent but you would not know until water is out of cylinders.

I’ve been smoking for almost a year and i’ve heard that when you start smoking, you throw up? And before you post an answer to this, i dont want anybody to say its bad and i should quit. It’s my body and i can do what i want with it. Also, i smoke camel menthols and yes i do inhale the whole way down.
